Braving The Cold. It's February (as you are well aware of) and with January well behind us (bye-bye January Blues), it is time to brighten up the remainder of the winter. (Or at least to make the most of it).
Yesterday I told you about me going totally ga-ga over the pink 'n red shoe craze. Well let me tell you how a friend so kindly (and publicly) reminded me on Facebook about a rant on colour blocking I had last year.*
I'm not a fan (perhaps due to the years I spent colour blocking Lacoste polos over Ralph Lauren cable knit sweaters at boarding school). But I'm particularly not a fan of the term (how many times have you heard about it in the past year?!). But in certain instances (and graded down with shades of grey and black) it is definitely agreeable to my taste. But who knows, come summer and you may find me in colour blocking galore.
So there we go. I am wearing pink 'n red (albeit I would place this more into the colour grading than colour blocking category).
PvdH pink tweed skirt
Wolford black wool tights
Wolford grey turtleneck (have been wearing them religiously!)
Isabel Marant Willow sneakers (wait list now available at Net-A-Porter)
Chanel bag
*You know who you are, and thanks for the laugh (winky face)

Yes it looks more grading then blocking. Are those tights seriously warm enough? Its so freezing over here in Holland! Your previous rant on color blocking made me laugh by the way;) I remember the bright polo shirt days from when I was 14. Though not treating color the same way as back then I would love to have those Stella McCartney sandals <3
ReplyDeleteGood luck beating the cold.
These Wolford tights are pretty amazing! Super thick and definitely warmer than jeans!
DeleteYou look good in pink and red. Nice jacket too. It does look cold over there.

Sporty chic Paola! The Isabel Marants look great on you!
ReplyDeleteIt's been since a long time I left a comment there ! I was reading your blog a little bit too religiously, I mean I am more one of a silent reader. But here I couldn't help not writing because you mastered your pink 'n red challenge ! The skirt is really pretty and this Chanel bag...enchanting. I always find the Isabel Marant Willow sneakers really ugly but in this outfit absolutely not !
