Dulce Patria
April 24, 2012 in The PvdH View

Dulce Patria is not just a famous (and ultra yummy) Mexican restaurant, but also an affectionate saying which directly translates into ‘sweet nation’. Such saying (and the abundance of colour) are all too evident in the Mercado del Sabado of San Angel (a famous market in the south of Mexico City).
Now you might understand where I drew inspiration for one of my favourite illustrations which I did (and posted) back in 2011. Dear Colour.

Paola, I just love your drawings so much!!!http://www.tinacious.me
wow!! that illustration is amazing!!!
BEAUTIFUL DRAWING!!!!
I want your drawings on my wall! Can I buy them?XO Charlotte
Holy s***! This place is amazing; I wanna pack my bags and take off to Mexico just to see (and eat) here! I can definitely see the inspiration drawn into that most wondrous drawing of yours. I honestly don't think I will ever grow tired of appreciating your work. You are so unbelievably and beautifully talented!SDMxxhttp://daringcoco.blogspot.com.au/

I love the Hispanic culture & colour!
I love the illustration! Mexico is so beautiful! Why must you be so talented!!
Yes this makes sense. Very beautiful and inspirational like your illustration. Those masks remind me of a creepy tourist attraction in Mexico, but I won't go into that.
I have always found it so interesting how foreigners are at times scared (and weirded out!) by a lot of the Mexican traditions regarding Death (particularly those that are linked to the pre-hispanic times…). The Day of the Dead is actually my favourite Mexican holiday
