My Studio (Sneak Peek)
April 11, 2012 in The PvdH View
My Studio (Sneak Peek). I’ve packed, I’ve (semi) unpacked, and right about now the true existential meaning of a moving company comes to mind. O.K. so I didn’t have enough things (a.k.a. a whole house) to warrant for one, but still (!!!)
Moving sucks. But Mexico rocks. So it has more than evened out.
But now let me tell you a little something about this whole unpacking business. Arriving last week into my adolescent room (and adjacent art studio) has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience (can’t really happen more than once really…).
Stuffed animals, I <3 DiCaprio scrapbooks (do not judge), N’Sync CDs (you may judge a little), Abercrombie in galore, the odd Lily Pulitzer here and there, Marc by Marc Jacobs minis (might squeeze myself into these!)…. You catch my drift.
It has truly been a memory-flooded week you can say, and don’t get me started on how amazing it has been to be back in Mexico City. (Hint Hint: food overdose!).
So here are a couple of snapshots of things finding their righteous place in my new studio (and the odd childhood memory that remains).
I miss IKEA. I need IKEA. Yikes).
