Kohl
July 9, 2012 in Beauty

Kohl. I have recently revived a past obsession: kohl. It comes after several months of overdosing on the so-called ‘cat-eye’ (with which my eyes felt a bit naked at first!) (particularly the bottom half…!).
But with summer comes a tan (albeit only a slight one due to the recent bout of hurricanes…), and with a tan comes my desire to overdose on pretty Guerlain makeup. So yes there is the classic (and totally fantastic) bronzer (I’m currently dosing on the Terracotta Light bronzing compact in “Brunettes 03“), but there are also the (rather fabulous) kohl loose powders. I’m currently wearing it in “Brun Dore“, but also dreaming of the day I will be tan enough to wear it in “Bleu“.
A little kohl in the inner lids goes a long way.

Looks beautiful, love the applicator too

I must admit, Guerlain make-up is a huge temptation for me… The packaging is always so beautiful and I’ve used their foundation (the best one as far as I am concerned) for several years.

Does it smudge? Looks beautiful!
It doesn’t smudge no (in fact, it is a bit hard to get it off!). It is not as hard as the eye-pencils for the rim tough, and you can also use it as eye shadow.
That’s such a lovely picture of you! Love the look! And that case it comes in is so pretty!

Such a wonderful photo. The bottle is really cool! I have been really into the dark eye lately!
Thanks for stopping by!

You have inspired me to go and dig mine out!
This used to be very popular, and then just kind of went away.
Used to love it!
I know right? I used to use it a lot in my early Uni years!

mmmmm….this looks tricky. I would so end up looking like a crazy lady or a raccoon if I tried this…
But I will say that the bottle is ridiculously fabulous.
You’d be surprised how easy it is! And trust me because I am totally handicapped when it comes to eye shadows!
mmmmh i want it!!!

here I was thinking I need to go to Mac and get treated rudely by their sales people and pick up an eyeliner. But forget that! Thank you so much for sharing!
You look so pretty <3 ya quiero ver tu nuevo bronceado!
I’m too intimidated by the smoky eye to attempt it in the winter (when my skin is all pasty and pale), but I must say, I do feel a bit frisky and exotic when I tan in the summer – always tempts me to play with the more severe.
P.S.: I wanted to send a sweet thank you over to your neck of the woods, as well! I absolutely adore your blog, and the effort by which you invest yourself personally really translates in your writing and imagery.
that is such a stunning, stunning, stunning picture of you. and i love the new page design too.
You changed your blog! I like the fresh new look
I am also obsessed with kohl but I lack the steady hand that is required for the perffect cat-eye look and don’t have the patience to practice! Gorgeous picture xx
I had it yesterday in my hand in Sephora !!
