Shoe-lympics

Shoe-lympics. If you follow me on instagram (or check out my (insta)feed), you will undoubtedly know already that I have been doodling (and dreaming) away this week and shoes have been the protagonists.
So because I am having a pretty good Olympics week (with my Dutch side beaming over the spectacular gold in men’s gymnastics and my Mexican one ecstatic about going into the football final against Brazil!), lets dub this post ‘Shoe-lympics‘.
And so, after (some serious browsing) (a lot of fun doodling) and some intense deliberation, Charlotte Olympia and her Flora pumps win gold due to their extravagant and unique qualities. Good enough to (seriously) spice up any outfit. And by any, I mean even just jeans and a white-t. Yups. Definitely gold.
Coming in second place for silver are Guiseppe Zanotti’s sculptural babes. Fashion-meets-art (and makes you want to build a shrine around them).
And last (but definitely not least), bronze goes to Charlotte Olympia (yet again!)- but this time for her (ultra cute) kitty loafers. #meow

This is precious. You’re very talented. Did you use the Sketchbook app? I love this idea of having shoe-lympics. I’ve been wanting the kitty loafers for so long now… ever since my girl Bey and Blue Ivy rocked them.
Yes m’am! SketchBook it was- so fun when I am not at home to doodle away. Need to try it with people next!

I love the idea of a pair of incredible heels and teaming with a few “boring” items, as you say -a pair of jeans and a plain tee, let the shoes do the talkin’

OK, I love sports, I love the Olympics, but this is the kind of competition I like the most: making fashion-related rankings! Completely agree on the bronze, but to me silver and gold would be either Roger Vivier’s Belle de Nuit or the Valentino’s Rockstud flats!
