Cotton Candy

Cotton Candy. Driving past Mexico City’s main park (Chapultepec) yesterday afternoon, I couldn’t help but be drawn to the (extremely!) colourful fluffy sugar balls. I jumped out of the car, haggled for a minute (or two), and got back into my car with the biggest (and fluffiest) (and pinkest) of them all.
My conclusion? Cotton candy tastes of childhood.
Seriously. Perhaps I hadn’t had one in (way) too many years, but its taste (and subsequent sugar high) took me back a decade (more like two!). Hey, even my pup Dedal got a taste (and loved it!) (and was subsequently wagging her tail at 100mph!).
p.s. I am (re)crushing on (ultra!) matte lips. A little dab of MAC pigment over lipstick et voilà! Ultra rich colour (and no shine on sight).

Ah, yes, the taste of childhood summers. Carnivals, fairs, snack shacks, and game days. The first time the color pink ever made me smile genuinely.

Dear Paola, I missed so many beautiful posts and outfits while I was on holidays! These pictures reminds me of Terry Richardson’s portraits and I really like the pop of colour. Looking at the previous ensemble, I think that the Mambo n. 5 skirt is one of the best pieces you have created: feminine and very original. How long should I wait to find one of your pieces on the market…?!
