(Indispensable) Beauty

(Indispensable) Beauty. One week in NYC. Little sleep, (loads of) running around, eating out more than usual (despite my countless Whole Foods escapades)… heck, traveling always takes a toll. You know the drill. And it is in these (rather high-stress) moments that the beauty products you use are tested to the max. Let me share with you the ones that (more than) lived up to the challenge.
I have been a pretty big fan of Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado since my boarding school years (just under a decade!). Rich and moisturising (but without being ultra greasy), this is a staple all-year-round.
And continuing clockwise, we go on to Cle de Peau’s (miracle) Concealer, which (while technically more in the ‘makeup’ section rather than ‘beauty’ one) is just too good to be left out of any list. This stuff works serious magic on black circles (and blemishes alike), and while pricier than other concealers (YSL’s Touche Eclat per say) I find that it actually lasts (much) longer.
OK, now lets move onto the bane of my (beauty) existence: chapped lips. I really struggle with this one and have found the perfect solution in Creme de la Mer’s ‘The Lip Balm’. Definitely beats my other lip staple (Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream) on the scent and consistency department. Pretty perfect as a base for lipstick.
Now let me tell you about my latest beauty obsession: Fresh products. I have mentioned them here and there, but I must emphasise here how pretty great I find them. Particularly digging the Soy Moisturizing Cream and Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil as everyday basics. They simply just feel… well, fresh (!!!).
So there you go, my current beauty (everyday) staples.
