symbolic
October 29, 2012 in PvdH's #todayimwearing

symbolic. Mexico, with its highly-intertwined history with Catholicism, is filled with religious imagery throughout. From our beloved Virgin of Guadalupe to the ever-so-abundant crosses, they create a rather mystic air throughout. Reminding you of a past time.
And I keep telling y’all (feeling rather Texan this morning), with the ongoing warmth my winter-whites continue to feel more like the good old summer-whites. Not complaining.
wearing: PvdH quartz & Swarovski necklace, Gap shirt, vintage (DIY distressed) denim, Christian Louboutin Fred brogues (newer version available here)

Gorgeous! x

Such stunning photographs! And the jeans, I think I may have to do this to an old pair. What did you do it with? Scissors and into the wash?
Beautiful photographs, Paola, and I just LOVE those jeans!

Oh, enjoy the Day of the Dead celebrations! I love Mexican culture, from the pre-Columbian to the Catholic mysticism. And white seems right in the heat.
Every time I come to your blog I think to myself, this is amazing. I need to visit more often. And then I get caught up in life and don’t. Shame on me. These photos are stunning and I now feel like I must have missed out on so many other amazing things. Time for a trip into the archives, I think
Hope you enjoy the Day of the Dead celebrations! I’d love to be in Mexico to see them one day.
