(currently) lovin’ the bright (and rather warm) October days, watching reruns of The X Files (Agent Mulder, you fox) (all pun intended), Three Jane ‘elastic’ bangles (particularly in black)*, devouring pan de muerto (Day of the Dead bread)(with some cold almond milk on the side), weekends in the countryside, and seeing my creative mood transition into winter mode.

And totally hatin’ that moment of (absolute) discoordination when you smash one of your favourite lipsticks** with its own cap.

Know the feeling? Pffff…

Booty Call

Booty Call. And so we have Miranda Kerr (for Harper’s Bazaar shot by Terry Richardson), doing a most awesome (yes, I just used the word ‘awesome’) booty call. You know, as in boots and call- showcasing some of my favourite options come fall.

I must say Tisci has been doing things (ultra) right at Givenchy as of late, making me pine for these boots (and throw in that Rottweiler t-shirt too please).

On My Wrist

On My Wrist. While arm parties (or arm swags) (or arm raves) have been at the eye of the latest accessories’ hurricane, I must admit that mine barely reached arm get-together status (or perhaps even stayed arm dinner-for-two) throughout this period.

How unfashionable of me. But I kinda like it that way.

So thumbs up to Scandinavian brand Cooee, whose perspex bracelets (with their perfect minimalistic cool) enticed me to grow my entourage. And so (along with a Cartier Pasha) they make up the perfect party of three.

And hey, they also inspired a serious craving for some matte black polish. You know, as in Yves Saint Laurent’s ‘Terriblement Noir’- a pretty fine marriage of shinny and matte.

And hey (numero dos), they also look too good perched against my latest bout of ink drawings. It is one big black ‘n white crave.

Shoe-lympics

Shoe-lympics. If you follow me on instagram (or check out my (insta)feed), you will undoubtedly know already that I have been doodling (and dreaming) away this week and shoes have been the protagonists.

So because I am having a pretty good Olympics week (with my Dutch side beaming over the spectacular gold in men’s gymnastics and my Mexican one ecstatic about going into the football final against Brazil!), lets dub this post ‘Shoe-lympics‘.

And so, after (some serious browsing) (a lot of fun doodling) and some intense deliberation, Charlotte Olympia and her Flora pumps win gold due to their extravagant and unique qualities. Good enough to (seriously) spice up any outfit. And by any, I mean even just jeans and a white-t. Yups. Definitely gold.

Coming in second place for silver are Guiseppe Zanotti’s sculptural babes. Fashion-meets-art (and makes you want to build a shrine around them).

And last (but definitely not least), bronze goes to Charlotte Olympia (yet again!)- but this time for her (ultra cute) kitty loafers. #meow
